When it comes to the public school system, we here at HoodClass can say we have been there, done that, but our kids won’t have too. Thanks to the Step Up for Students Scholarship.

The Florida Legislature in 2001 created a Tax Credit Scholarship that would allow low-income children to have better learning options. Every child learns differently, and as a parent, you want to find the school that best caters to your child. This school could either be another public school in another area or even a private or charter school.

They reward close to $5,000 a year. There is a yearly application fee (currently at $29) and they do request documentation.
